Literary Lacquers Annual Birthday Polish

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday that totally feels like a Monday. Before I get started today I'd like to apologize for neglecting the blog. I hope you haven't noticed. I've been going through some things in life and haven't been exactly too excited to hit the publish button recently.

That doesn't mean that the polishing of my nails have ceased at all, it just means I haven't made this blog a huge priority. But I'm not gone, just posting when I can and am still as happy as ever to share my nail art, reviews etc.

Now lets get to the pretty polish of the day!

Every year Amy of Literary Lacquers marks her birthday by releasing a limited edition polish (each one is numbered). This year's polish, The Edge is inspired by a quote from one of my Amy's authors, Kurt Vonnegut.

"I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center."
– Kurt Vonnegut from Player Piano

The polish will be sold in numbered bottles for one week only on her Etsy site, ending next Tuesday September 13.

This is Literary Lacquers The Edge. It is a lovely lilac purple holographic polish filled with iridescent flakies that come out to play in indirect light. The flakies are sparse and not overwhelming in the two coats I applied, so if you want more flakies, I suggest three coats. The polish formula was easy to work with, opaque in two coats, but if you want more flakies I suggest three!

I love this polish, something about pairing purple with iridescence reminds me of a fairy-magical land. I feel like I should stamp a unicorn or fairy image over this lovely polish! Maybe even a great butterfly wing!

Anyway, as I said before, this is available through next Tuesday September 13 on the Literary Lacquers website. Each bottle will be numbered and it is a special limited edition (which Amy doesn't typically do) so what are you waiting for?!?
